S and G went to the same school without really knowing each other. It wasn't until years later, both working as dentists, that G finally sent the message that changed things.
Less than two years on, they were planning a wedding. Their trip to London happened because one of them has a brother studying here, giving them a reason to spend a few days together and put together some memories in the city before the big day.
We didn't rush between landmarks. Mostly we just walked in Big Ben, talked, and let the afternoon go wherever it went.
What stood out most from their afternoon was how easily S and G talked to each other, the kind of ease that usually takes people a lot longer than two years to build.
