E is French, M is British. They met through friends, both already living in London. She’d come over to study and ended up staying, and somehow five years went by.
Her parents and best friend flew over from France for the wedding.
The morning was bright and honestly a little too hot. We started at York House, where the ceremony took place in the beautiful historic setting of the gardens and riverside surroundings.
Later, we headed to Richmond Park, somewhere they used to go on dates long before the wedding. We took a few portraits among the long grass, enjoying a quieter moment together before the weather started to turn.
By the time we were heading to Lass O’Richmond in Richmond to meet everyone, it was properly raining.
I thought she’d be annoyed. She wasn’t. E told me that in France, rain on your wedding day is meant to be a blessing — so as far as she was concerned, the day had just improved.
